Former Ravensbourne student Kit Neale has been chosen to receive funding from NEWGEN (New Generation, created by the British Fashion Council). NEWGEN is a talent recognition scheme, and helps to promote new businesses. Other recievers of the NEWGEN award are Nasir Mazhar and Agi & Sam.
Kit Neale is known for his eccentric and quirky designs, including clashes of colour and pattern that represent the current fashion scene in London. As a current Ravensbourne student, it's great to see the talent that has come out of Ravensbourne. It helps to give our uni more of an image and an identity that it once didn't have. I'm looking forward to seeing more from Kit Neale and other Ravensbourne students! We're not short of talent here. I think Kit Neale's designs are really interesting, fun and show the spirit of East London with a very satirical yet stylish edge. I like to see designers who don't take themselves very seriously, I especially love to see humour in fashion.
