Ralph Lauren + Beaux-Arts

Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts school has housed some of the most influential designers of today, from Valentino to Givenchy and well-known impressionists such as Monet and Matisse. It is a hub of creativity and innovation in fashion and art.

Billionaire Ralph Lauren is going to be aiding the restoration of the Beaux-Arts, a building which is in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres district in Paris and is formed of a collection of buildings dating back from the 17th Century. The building is in dire need of a restoration, however it is only the lecture theatre that is being restored by the fashion giant.

To mark the occasion, Ralph Lauren will present a fashion show and dinner on October 8th, and will be showing in Paris for the first time. This act of generosity stems from Fendi who has previously pledged to restore Rome's historical fountains and Tod's have said to be funding the new Colosseum renovation.

This all of course, comes with a perhaps less do-gooder initiatives and the recent news features will be giving the brand a lot of new press and interest. The brand will now be looked on with more respect due to this generosity and hopefully (for them) generate more consumers. This also helps to keep the brand under the radar, as in my opinion Ralph Lauren is faltering in the eye of public interest recently.
